SOFA, Salur Old Friends Association
Salur Old friends Association, formally known as “”SOFA”” is a non-profit organization, established on 23rd October 2008 with a concept to support Education system, welfare of people and surroundings development.
SOFA works alongside educators, teachers, parents and students, providing practical assistance in their efforts to transform schools and colleges into institutions that serve all students well. SOFA works to inspire students by Identifying their skills, talents and encourage them.
Objective:
The objectives of SOFA-Salur are mainly focused on education, health, environment, Power, poverty and humanity. SOFA activities have begun at Salur and extended to surrounding rural / tribal areas.
Sofa objectives are:
- To encourage merit students in Govt. schools/ Colleges by presenting Certificates & Scholarships.
- To extend financial support to poor students in Govt. schools / Colleges for their fees and books.
- To improve the infrastructure of Govt. schools / Colleges
- To facilitate teachers to express our gratitude.
- To improve the infrastructure of Govt. Hospitals for better medical treatment
- To conduct medical camps to bring health awareness in people
- To provide Solar street lamps in tribal areas, where electricity doesn’t exist
- To camping for anti plastic bags / cups etc to save environment.
- To support greenery for peaceful future
